On the surface the goal-less draw might mean nothing, but the result shows just how much progress Glasshoughton and Worsbrough have both made.
Glasshoughton are now unbeaten in seven games, their best run since the Craig Ellliott glory days and the clean sheet was their first of the campaign.
The same goes to Worsbrough, who have enjoyed a tremendous start when you consider that the club was destined for oblivion in February. It was also a magnificent result for Bridge as several players were either injured or unavailable – most notably star strikers Brad Kerr and captain Lee Garside.
Their woes were added to after just ten minutes as ill Matt Pinder had to come off, forcing midfielder Connor Rollinson to stand in at right-back. Ian Shirt said Rollinson was his man of the match in his post match interview.
Glasshoughton had the most opportunities. There were several moments when headers from corners appeared to be destined for the net.
Worsbrough actually had the most clear-cut chance of the night as Mitchell Wilshire blazed over from inside the six-yard-box when it seemed easier to score.
