Armthorpe Welfare have chosen Selby Town coach Mick Carmody as the man to lead them out of trouble.
Carmody has been part of the management team at Selby Town with Nigel Emery for the past few months.
He was previously held a management position at York Premier League outfit Riccall United and he did spend some of his playing career with Armthorpe.
Carmody beat off competition from a player/coach currently involved at another NCEL club to win the post at the interviews which were held on Monday. The appointment concludes a two-week search for Brian Johnston’s replacement.
The new Welfare boss will meet the players for the first time at training on Thursday.
