Martin Powell will oversee team affairs at Harrogate Railway until Lee Ashforth’s successor is found.
Former Wetherby Athletic coach Powell was assistant to Ashforth and he could get as many as three games at the helm as the deadline for applications is not until Friday 16th September.
“Yes obviously pleased to have been asked to take temporary charge for the next couple of games,” Powell said.
“That’s all I’m concentrating on and it’s up to the club what happens with regards their choice of next manager.
“I’d just like to say how grateful I am to Lee Ashforth for getting me involved with Harrogate Railway and for all the support he’s given me over the last few months.
I wish him all the very best for the future.”
