Ash Flynn took his first match-ball of the season home with him after firing Emley back to winning ways.
Flynn struck at scattered points of a competitive match that Emley dominated, once as the first goal went in.
There was one brief scare for Emley. That was in the opening gambits when Michael Akhavan-Hezavem’s effort came back off the post.
An Emley goal was inevitable, but it took until ten minutes before half-time for it to arrive. Flynn, the 73-goal hero last season, rounded Dronfield goalkeeper Joe Taylor to place his side in front.
A deflected free kick straight after the interval then provided a solid cushion. Dronfield had brief forays into the Emley penalty area, but they never looked capable of scoring in the second half.
Emley were rarely troubled and it was a fitting finish when Flynn got past Taylor again and completed his treble in the dying seconds.

A very easy game for the young official. He probably made one glaring mistake when he cautioned an Emley defender for something trivial, 30 seconds after not yellow carding a Dronfield player for kicking the ball away. Other than that, it was a strong display.
