Guiseley were minutes away from beating fellow strugglers Woking to record their first go the campaign until a late equaliser denied them all three points.
The Lions, who have now moved onto two points and remain without a win, scored just after half-time, when Adam Boyes hit a powerful effort from 20 yards out that went into the top corner.
The away side stay in the drop zone but now have five points and they equalised late on when Fabio Saraiva’s header deflected off Ash Palmer and wrong-footed Guiseley keeper Jonny Maxted.
Guiseley’s caretaker manager Adam Lockwood was disappointed with the result: “We are now two games unbeaten, but we should have won this one, we had chances and on another day we would have gained our first win of the season.”
“We need to move on from this and take the good things and hopefully that will mean we beat Chester on Tuesday.”
Reece Webb-Foster started from the off for Guiseley after joining on loan from Bradford City, he had the first chance, when he cut inside and from just outside the area saw his effort go narrowly over the bar.
The away side began to get into the match, with Delano Sam-York beating left-back Nicky Clee and his effort had to be pushed away by Guiseley keeper Johnny Maxted.
A wellwell-worked move by the hosts then saw them go close again, this time Clee was eventually found and on the turn he placed a shot that was turned away by Woking stopper Michael Poke.
Guiseley’s Alex Purver then saw his powerful drive test Poke who made a diving save to keep the effort out.
Woking striker Chigozie Ugwu was then found from a corner and he had a free-header but the ball had a little bit to much on it, this meant he was unable to direct his effort goalwards.
Guiseley were soon in front in the second half, with Boyes getting the goal and it should have been two when Jordan Preston was brilliantly denied by Poke who somehow got a hand on a powerful effort.
Woking kept pressing after conceding and got their goal late on, they could have even won it in added time when Dennon Lewis saw his effort deflect just wide.
