New striker Curtly Martin-Wyatt earned Goole AFC a point as Dave Anderson oversaw a positive start to his reign.

Anderson watched his side have a dream start as new captain Derry Robson sent a rocket into the top corner from 25 yards after just seven minutes.

The lead lasted 14 minutes when Goole were hit by two quick-fire sucker-punches. Gary Burnett netted the equaliser before former Bradford (Park Avenue) winger Chris Gaghan scored from close range.

Goole responded well. Sam Robinson had a goal disallowed. As half-time approached, Martin-Wyatt got on the end of a cross to equalise.

Goole enjoyed a strong start to the second half, without being able to force a goal.

Bay finished strongly, but Goole held on to secure a precious point. Anderson will take a lot away from the result and will have been pleased with the displays from his new signings, Martin-Wyatt, Jack McCarthy and Jordan Cooke.
