Shaw Lane AFC defender Dan Wilkinson
Thoughts and prayers are with Shaw Lane AFC defender Dan Wilkinson after he was rushed to Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax last night.
Wilkinson collapsed an hour into Shaw Lane’s Integro League Cup tie at Brighouse Town. The physios from both clubs were on the pitch within seconds administering medical care.
An ambulance and two fast response vehicles soon arrived and he was treated on the field for more than 30 minutes before being taken to hospital.
