James Firth broke the hearts of Armthorpe Welfare after scoring the cruelly headed winner in the last minute for Albion Sports.

Point-less Armthorpe were leading 3-2 for ten minutes during the second half. Mick Carmody’s side were also dealt a further blow as Michael Bunn was stretched off late in the game and treated by paramedics.

In a topsy-turvy game, Albion appeared to be cruising to an easy win as Rhys Jenkinson scored two first half goals. An own goal from Firth on the stroke of half-time gave Armthorpe hope.

Bunn and McLaughlin then put them ahead.

Karl Hall got the equaliser for Albion before Firth won it late-on.

Bridlington Town lost 3-1 at Cleethorpes Town. Joel Sutton scored Bridlington’s goal.
