Luke Parkin’s double kept Brighouse top of the Division One North table
Two goals from Luke Parkin kept Brighouse Town at the top of the Division One North table.
Parkin wasted no time in getting Brighouse off to a flyer as he struck in the second minute after intercepting former Brighouse man’s Shaquille Clarke-Adams’ poor back-pass.
Droylsden did draw level not long after, courtesy of an own goal from Sam Hewitt who diverted Dan Grimshaw’s corner into the wrong net.
The winner came on the hour mark when Parkin latched onto Leon Osborne’s cross.
Parkin almost missed a chance to kill Droylsden off and complete his hat-trick later on.
High-flying Brighouse are a point ahead of second placed Bamber Bridge.
