Long-serving Harrogate Railway versatile player Simon Parkes has joined local rivals Knaresborough Town.
Parkes has been with Railway since his childhood, but he has chosen to join his brother Ben at Manse Lane. He spent some of last season with Knaresborough.
Paul Stansfield said: “Simon is a player I have admired for some time and he made a huge impact last season when he came in on loan for a short loan spell.
“He has excellent leadership qualities as well as being an excellent footballer and has played at a high standard throughout his career.
“He knows a lot of the lads and we are all looking forward to getting him involved.”
