Red hot Kai Hancock’s made amends for missing a late penalty by scoring the winner for Athersley Rec in the last minute at Worksop Town.
The magnificent 4-3 victory over the league heavyweights is another marker of the progress that the Rec have made this season. It also moved them up to sixth in the table.
The Rec enjoyed a brilliant start with two quick-fire goals from Liam Owen and Oliver Glaves.
Charlie Dawes levelled it up with two strikes before half-time and then Julian Lawrence placed Worksop in front on the hour.
Bradley Johnston equalised for Athersley and it was left to Hancock to be the hero.
Albion Sports lost 1-0 at Clipstone, while Hemsworth Miners Welfare were beaten 2-0 at home by crisis club Retford United.
