Joe Lumsden was Stocksbridge’s hero for the second game running after scoring the winner at Romulus.

The brilliant victory, against an in-form side which had yet to lose at home on their artificial surface, places the Steels in the pack chasing a play-offs spot.

Romulus hit the crossbar twice in the first half, but it was Stocksbridge who took chance when Lumsden tapped home after Matthew Reay flicked a corner on.

Chris Hilton’s men were relatively untroubled in the second half and they should have arguably added to their lead.

Scott Ruthven hit the post and recent signing George Grayson also missed a sitter.
