Rob Bordman led Shaw Lane into the next round with a double over nine-man Scarborough Athletic.

Bordman struck twice in between two mindless acts from Jameel Ible and Scott Brown, who both saw red.

Former Frickley defender Ible was the first to leave early as he walked for an elbow on striker Kieran Lugsden – in just the seventh minute.

The resulting free kick saw Bordman, the deadliest set-piece taker in Evo Stik Division One South, score with a powerful effort.

The second goal soon followed and it was a magnificent volley from the master of spectacular goals.

Benny Igiehon nearly got Scarborough back into it when his lob went wide. But the dismissal of Brown for a rash challenge finished Steve Kittrick’s men off.
