Stocksbridge Park Steels stormed to a brilliant 5-0 victory in their Preliminary Round tie at Clitheroe.

The Steels, whose memorable Trophy run last season began at Clitheroe, took their hosts apart and they never looked back once as Harrison Biggins placed them ahead from the penalty spot.

Scott Ruthven ensured that Stocksbridge had a solid two-goal half-time lead.

Joe Lumsden, Nathaniel Crofts and Adam Hinchliffe completed the rout.

Farsley Celtic won 3-1 at Radcliffe Borough – Jacob Hazel, Alex Davidson and Richard Marshall scored.

Ossett Albion and Prescot Cables will meet again on Tuesday night after captain Danny South secured a replay with his last minute equaliser.
