Liam Ormsby has been appointed as the new assistant manager of Harrogate Railway.

Ormsby is recovering from a serious injury, sustained while playing for Scarborough Athletic at Tadcaster, so the appointment works well for both parties.

Railway have needed someone on the sidelines since Paul Beesley took over as player/manager.

Ormsby, the son of former Leeds United captain Brendan, has also played for Pontefract Collieries, Garforth Town, Tadcaster Albion and Albion Sports. He won the Premier Division title with Tadcaster last season.

“His contacts are very good around this level and he’s got great coaching experience including his own coaching business,” Beesley said.
