Yorkshire Amateur have pulled off a major “coup” after persuading dangerous winger Fernando Moke to sign for them.
Moke returns to Bracken Edge after prolific spells in the Evo Stik League with the likes of Ossett Town, Scarborough Athletic, Droylsden, Wakefield FC and Brighouse Town. He previously played for the Ammers when he was younger.
Ammers manager Phil Harding said: “It is a massive coup for the club as Ferdy has lots of experience and quality from a higher level.
“I’ve known Ferdy since he was really young as he played for my Chapeltown Brazil junior side and I’m delighted that he has come back to play for me at Ammers.”
Moke still plays for top Leeds Sunday League side Chapeltown Fforde Grene – the team he was playing for when he scored the goal, which has been seen by millions of people on social media since.
