Yorkshire Amateur manager Phil Harding says he is getting “Jekyll and Hyde” performances from his side.

Harding cites the 3-2 victory over basement side Nostell Miners Welfare in midweek as a prime example of his claim.

“I think we should have got something from Emley and Eccleshill, but we’re a funny team,” Harding told Non League Yorkshire.

“On our day we can beat anybody, but we’re 100% Jekyll and Hyde, it is a perfect description

“When we played Emley, everyone raised their game, they pressed good, they stopped them playing.

“Whereas with Nostell, they looked at the table and thought ‘oh its only Nostell’ and complacency set in like jelly and the next thing, they’re all over us.

“It was a very poor performance, but the best thing about the result was the three points.

“We didn’t play very well. On Saturday at Emley we were tremendous, but got nothing. Against Nostell we threw a poor performance in and got the points. We deserved a draw, at best.

“We took our chances and we did the same at Ollerton. Ollerton deserved something out of the game and they got nothing.”
