Scarborough Athletic were due to complete the signing of defender Matty Turnbull on Thursday night.
Pickering Town announced Turnbull’s departure during the afternoon and the centre-back was due to meet with Steve Kittrick and Seadogs chairman Dave Holland last night.
Scarborough tried to sign him during the summer.
The defender has come a long way in a year as he started last season playing for Selby Town in Toolstation NCEL Division One.
