Experienced striker Lee Garside has left Worsbrough Bridge and joined local rivals Athersley Rec.
Garside arrives ahead of the trip to Hemsworth Miners Welfare tomorrow.
It is a blow to Worsbrough as the powerful striker was their leading goal-scorer with eight goals.
His vast experience stems from spells with Ossett Town, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Pontefract Collieries and other clubs in the Barnsley area.
Worsbrough interim manager Josh Wright said: “He’s gone with my blessing.
“What he has done for Worsbrough in every spell he had at the club has been fantastic.”
To help cover for departures, Wright has signed Brodie Cooper (Armthorpe Welfare) and Joe Long (Penistone Church).
Worsbrough actually face a derby day trip to Penistone tomorrow.
