Campion made it four wins from four league games after beating then second-placed Ponterfract Collieries, thanks to goals from Eli Hey and Steve Hollingworth.
The brace from Hey has added to his impressive goal scoring record this season – scoring his 20th and 21st goals of the campaign.
The victory allowed Campion to extend their unbeaten streak to eight games – picking up 20 points in the process.
Prior to Saturday’s clash, Pontefract had won their last three games – scoring 10 goals in the process.
Campion kept the visitor’s attack at bay – allowing the Bradford side to pick up their sixth clean sheet of the season.
It was the first time the Collieries had been kept scoreless all campaign – making them the second-highest scorers in the league, narrowly trailed by Campion.
The victory for James Bicknell’s men kept them in the play-offs and just four points off league-leaders Penistone Church.
Campion now only trail Pontefract on goals scored as they seek to shorten the gap between them and the automatic spots.
