Ossett Town have finally landed former title-winning Hemsworth Miners Welfare captain Jason Yates, after failing to sign him in the summer.
Yates played in one friendly for Ossett, who then became one of the clubs that tried to get his signature.
Shaw Lane AFC won that battle and the midfielder was a regular right at the start of the campaign.
In recent weeks he has struggled to get in the Barnsley-based side’s starting eleven.
Yates signs in time for the home clash with Scarborough Athletic tomorrow.
