Ossett Town denied Scarborough Athletic the chance to go top by winning 4-2 to move to within three points of the Division One North play-offs.

Alex Peterson (2), Danny Frost and Tyrone Gay were the masterminds of the victory which piled misery on Scarborough boss Steve Kittrick, who managed the club nearly ten years ago.

In a dream start, talisman Danny Frost fired Ossett ahead – a goal that was quickly cancelled out by Carl Stewart.

Town were undeterred and three quick-fire second half goals from Peterson and Gay put them in a commanding position. The Seadogs only had a Eddy Birch consolation in response.

Farsley Celtic are back on the heels of leaders Brighouse Town following a 3-1 home win over Mossley – Adam Clayton, Paul Walker and Jacob Hazel scored.

Tadcaster Albion pulled off a spectacular comeback to draw 3-3 at Ramsbottom United.

Tad were trailing 3-1 with five minutes remaining until Josh Barrett and Adam Baker intervened.

Stocksbridge Park Steels lost 2-1 at home to Leek Town – Harrison Biggins scored from the spot for the Steels.

In the FA Trophy first qualifying round, Goole AFC lost 7-1 at Evo Stik Premier Division giants Blyth Spartans.
