Joe Brennan’s hat-trick propelled AFC Emley into the Division One top eight.

Brennan, the younger brother of centre-back Tom, was the main man in Emley’s 3-1 win at Brigg Town.

The midfielder pounced on a loose ball for the opener before scoring two long range wonder goals in the second half.

In the Premier Division, Garforth Town gave everything at Staveley Miners Welfare, but succumbed to a 3-0 defeat.

Both sides created chances, but Staveley took theirs. The deadlock breaker came shortly after half-time, whilst the final two came near the end.

Hallam cantered to a TEN-NILL victory over Winterton Rangers in the League Cup third round tie.

Jack Hargreaves scored a seven minute first half hat-trick. The other goals were converted by Danny Flynn, Callum Greaves, Scott Bates (2), Matty Ord and Steve Brammer (2).
