Colin Heath netted four times to create his own firework display as Knaresborough Town sailed past Campion AFC 6-1 on Bonfire Night.

The victory for the North-Yorkshire club puts them in fourth place – just three points off table-toppers Penistone Church.

Seb Carole scored two goals to add the cherry on top after Heath’s four-goal rout.

The winger even managed to lob Campion’s Danny Armitage from 35 yards out – the back-tracking keeper managed to get fingertips to the ball but was unable to tip it over the bar.

Paul Stansfield’s men carried on their impressive run – recording their sixth consecutive match undefeated.

Steve Hollingworth gave the hosts an early lead – rounding the keeper to slot home after latching on to a great ball over the back four from Andrew Tasker, with just five minutes on the clock.

The pendulum soon swung as Heath bagged two goals prior to the referee’s half-time whistle.

The 6-1 loss was the first defeat for the Bradford side in eight games – previously being unbeaten since September.

Despite the result – James Bicknell’s men stay just one point off the play-offs, after recording only their second home loss of the season.

The defeat came on the back of the four wins on the bounce for the West-Yorkshire club.
