Leigh Hutchinson scored the winner for Goole AFC on his second debut
Leigh Hutchinson made a spectacular return to Goole AFC with the winner against promotion-chasing Glossop North End.
It was an outstanding performance from Goole, who had to withstand pressure towards the end.
But the path to victory was paved in the first half. A positive start was rewarded with Curtly Martin-Wyatt’s lob for the opener.
Glossop equalised before Hutchinson converted his own rebound after a header hit the crossbar.
Although defending was the name of the game, Goole had several penalty appeals turned down and they also created a couple of good chances.
