Bobby Johnson’s last minute winner earned Goole a superb 3-2 victory at higher league Whitby Town.

Goole had thrown away a 2-0 lead – given to them by Will Waudby and Leigh Hutchinson. But Dave Anderson’s men had a dramatic finale in them.

Adam Baker’s first half goals guided Tadcaster Albion to a 2-0 victory at Frickley Athletic.

Jake Ellam’s own goal consigned Ossett Town to a defeat against last season’s runners-up Scarborough Athletic at Ingfield.

Jack Tuohy and Joel Purkiss scored as Shaw Lane AFC beat Blyth Spartans in Barnsley.

Strikes from Peter Davidson, Lewis Nightingale, James Walshaw, Jacob Hazel earned Farsley Celtic a 4-2 win at Ossett Albion.

Daniel Byrnes and Declan Dawson struck for Ossett.

Stocksbridge lost 2-0 to Spennymoor Town at Bracken Moor.

  1. Well done to Goole! Thats a great result by any standards. I actually went to see Goole for the first time this season against Glossop north end a week ago while catching up with an old friend and Goole were superb and thoroughly deserved to win. Glossop would have gone top that night too. I know there’s a new manager who’s going to take time getting a settled side but i saw enough quality & desire in some of those players to build a team around. Im sure they will turn it around, plenty of games left & with a result like last nights they should fear no one.
