Phil Harding praised Yorkshire Amateur for their efforts after they were forced to play with ten men for an hour.

Key midfielder Tom Rose was sent off as half-time neared, at a point when Dronfield were leading 1-0 – courtesy of Charles Bradwell’s 35-yard strike.

Despite the huge blow, the Ammers dug in and got some reward. Adam Shaw levelled the proceedings with a penalty on the hour mark.

“Nothing is going for us at the minute,” Harding told Non League Yorkshire.

“The second yellow for Tom Rose was very harsh, but the players were excellent, despite us having to play with ten men for 60 minutes.

“We gave everything, but their goalkeeper was unbelievable. He was saving everything and some of them were worldie saves.”

“We were the better side and I thought we deserved all three points.”
