Ossett Albion 0-6 Trafford
“Embarrassing” was how furious Richard Tracey summed up Ossett Albion’s big defeat to Trafford at Dimple Wells.
Albion were well beaten by the play-offs chasers. Danger man Aaron Burns paved the way with two first half goals.
Albion then failed to show up for the second half and Trafford ripped them apart. Substitute Mark Derbyshire scored a hat-trick and Andrew Langford added more misery on Ossett.
“I think it is the first time I have come off the pitch and felt embarrassed,” Tracey told Non League Yorkshire.
“We started brightly and had a good 15 minutes – we had a great chance with Nathan Joynes’ header.
“But we conceded some sloppy goals. I don’t see teams cutting us open, we have literally given them the first three or four goals because we kept giving the ball away and weren’t organised.
“We have got to better as we have conceded far too many goals recently. That kind of performance can’t happen again.
“I’ve told them (the players) that they’re playing for their futures. I’ve said if they are not going to scrap and battle, they need to leave now.”
