Pontefract Collieries captain Mark Whitehouse is facing a spell out
Mark Whitehouse is facing a spell on the side-lines after breaking his ankle during Pontefract’s 5-1 win over Worsbrough Bridge.
The Colls captain was diagnosed with the injury after visiting hospital on Saturday night.
Colls manager Craig Parry said: “We’re disappointed to lose Whitey.
“He’s been putting some good performances in at left-back. He’s also been scoring goals. He’s up to nine now so it is a blow.
“But we have some good young lads coming through and we also have Luke Jeffs who can play left-back and he’s very experienced from spells in the Evo Stik, so we have cover.”
