Goole AFC have appointed one of the youngest management teams in the history of semi-professional football.

Club captain Derry Robson and fellow long-serving player David Taylor have been made joint managers, a day after the surprise exit of Dave Anderson and his assistant Mally Parker.

Both players are still in their early twenties.

Robson, a hugely popular figure at Goole, recently made his 200th appearance for Goole.

Steven Jeff, who only signed for Goole last week, is player/coach in the new make-up.

  1. Incredible surely it’s only on a caretaker basis if not what was the point of getting rid of Anderson, couple of fans I know want Rose back that was the rumour wonder if he has turned them down

  2. I thought Frickley may be needing the latter after reading your comments on the forum dingbat. Robson and Taylor was close to getting the job after moz left. And as you well know there is no magic formula. UTV
