Men of the moment Danny Frost and Tyrone Gay propelled Ossett Town up to third.

Perennial hero Frost turned down a “substantial offer” from Scarborough Athletic on Friday and has signed a contract with Ossett, while Gay enjoyed a great November and was nominated for Non League Yorkshire’s player of the month award.

After an uneventful first half, the game livened up after half-time.

Ashley Jackson made a run down the left and his cross came back off the crossbar. Gay headed the ball back into the danger zone and Frost was there to score from a position he never misses from.

Frost then won a penalty for his team, but the usual reliable Jackson’s effort was saved.

The former Leek Town quickly redeemed himself though as he supplied the corner for which Gay scored from after a brief scramble.

The Team

Ossett Town: Overton, Mackie, Jackson, Wright, Gay, Hawksworth, Ellam, Lucas, Petersen, Frost, Curtis. Subs: Farnhill, Riley, Henry, Freeman, Ridley.

You can vote for Tyrone Gay for Non League Yorkshire’s November Player of the Month award
