Tadcaster Albion manager Billy Miller’s horrendous journey to Yorkshire Amateur was capped off by the third round tie being postponed because of fog.

Referee Mark Dwyer called the clash off minutes after Miller arrived at Bracken Edge as conditions deteriorated between 6pm and 7pm.

“You can’t blame anyone for trying to get the game on,” Miller told Non League Yorkshire.

“The fog has been in and out all day by all accounts. It is frustrating for everyone that has travelled some distance.

“I’ve only been here five minutes. It has been a nightmare night because it took me two hours to get here from York because of traffic and fog.”

The tie was one of two County Cup matches postponed because of the weather. Ossett Town’s trip to Harrogate Railway also fell by the wayside because of fog in the early part of the evening.
