Ash Flynn scored either side of half-time to guide league leaders AFC Emley to their ninth consecutive league victory.

Emley’s dominant defence also kept a fourth straight clean sheet.

And whilst the defence has shut its doors, the attackers have upped the ante in their ruthlessness.

A grand total of thirty goals hit the back of the net in eight games in November and seven have already been registered so far this month.

Flynn, the league’s top goalscorer with 33 in all competitions, has now scored in eight consecutive league matches, bagging 15 in the process.

He scored number 32 with ten minutes until half-time on Saturday.

But the plaudits belonged to Liam Schofield, whose inch-perfect cross to the back post landed on the head of Emley’s talisman.

Flynn could have had another straight after the break, but blazed over from 12 yards out.

His persistence for a second did eventually pay off as he slotted under the body of Ollerton goalkeeper Scott Gretton – sealing the win.
