Mick Jones has signed for Armthorpe Welfare

Enthusiastic Mick Jones has signed up for Armthorpe Welfare’s battle against relegation.

The veteran versatile player has left Selby Town to help Mike Carmody’s side.

Over the course of a long and illustrious career, Jones taken in clubs such as Hucknall Town, Rossington Main, Parkgate, Maltby Main, among many others.

Jones won many plaudits for his galvanising performances for Garforth Town last season which were crucial in the Miners’ successful fight against the drop.

He could make his Welfare debut on Boxing Day when his new side visit Retford United.
