Maltby Main 2-3 Harrogate Railway
Jules Gabbiadini, the son of York City legend Marco, played a crucial role during his Harrogate Railway debut with a goal and an assist.
It took just ten minutes for the striker, signed from Pickering Town, to open his account by heading home Chris Ovington’s corner.
For the second goal, Gabbiadini raced through on goal, but before he could shoot, Craig Mitchell tackled him and sent the ball into his own net.
Keegan Burton got Maltby back into it before new Railway captain Sam Denton restored the two goal lead on the stroke of half-time.
Returning Maltby defender Dean Smith set up an interesting finale with a close range finish.
It became even more tense when Ovington was sent off for the second time this season after committing a second bookable offence.
