Unstoppable Shaw Lane opened up a three point lead at the top after a stunning away midweek victory.
The Ducks have now won ten and drawn one of their last eleven games. They are also unbeaten in 17. The signs of their latest win were good at the interval as Craig Elliott’s were two goals to the good against a side that did the double over them last season.
Their captain Ryan Qualter got both of them with two headers in the opening 17 minutes.
A powerful finish from Gavin Allott effectively killed off proceedings straight after half-time.
Lincoln then missed a penalty. The night just got better and better for the Ducks as over the course of the next 35 minutes there were goals from Gary Burnett, Allott and Spencer Harris.
