“Honoured” Connor Rollinson has been rewarded with the club captaincy at Worsbrough Bridge.
The versatile and reliable player replaces Dean Shirt who has signed for Athersley Rec. Rollinson more than deserves the armband as his dedication to Worsbrough this season has been second to none. Wind, rain or shine, he attends every training sessions and he is always available for matches.
“It is a honour that he’s given me such a huge responsibility,” former Pontefract and Glasshoughton man Rollinson said.
“I have huge boots to fill in replacing Dean Shirt and Lee Garside before him.
“I don’t want to be the captain who ends up taking Worsbrough down and I’ll do everything I can to help keep them in this Division where they belong.
“I’m confident we’ll start picking up points. One thing is for sure, we won’t give up without a fight.”
