Billy Miller remains unconcerned by Tadcaster Albion’s slump in form and retains his belief that his side will come good soon.

Miller pins Tadcaster’s one win in nine league games on his side failing to be clinical in front of goal.

“It is really frustrating because if we were playing badly I could accept that we had a bit of work to do,” Miller told Non League Yorkshire.

“At the moment we are playing well, but we are not taking our chances. We created more chances than Colne did on Saturday, but they put their two chances away.

“Scarborough was exactly the same. If we had taken our chances early on against Farsley it would have been a different game.

“The league form is a bit disappointing at the moment, but we have a good enough squad here to get ourselves out of it and establish ourselves in this league.”

There was some joy for Tadcaster this week as they beat Silsden in the West Riding County Cup quarter-finals.

Tad had to come from behind, but Miller’s side were more than worthy winners.

“In the end it was a solid win,” he said.

“It took a while to break down a resilient Silsden team who I thought were well-organised.

“But when we did break them down, if we had taken our chances it could have been a few more.

“It was an entertaining game and there was almost 160 in which for the County Cup is fantastic.”
