Stephen Bromley’s first half goal earned Harrogate Railway an impressive away win and clean sheet at ambitious AFC Mansfield.

The decisive moment came five minutes before half-time. Railway player/manager Paul Beesley crossed from the right which enabled Bromley to shoot for goal. That effort was cleared off-the-line, but the ball came back to Bromley, who managed to squeeze the ball home through a crowd of defenders.

Although Mansfield pushed for an equaliser and had most of the possession, Railway almost caught them out on the counter attack on a couple of occasions.

Callum Robinson hit the crossbar, while David Brown and Beesley both went close during one-on-one opportunities.

The finish was nervy for Railway as former Penistone striker Ollie Fearon hit the post.

  1. How can Mansfield be ambitious, they have a massive budget that’s why Rudy funk left Scarborough plus the traveling, they are down near the bottom and if they were ambitious they would of realised that they had the wrong manager, look at Curtis woodhouse or Paul Marshall who are doing it on a smaller budget
