Toolstation NCEL Division One
Local lad Freddie Swales has been handed the captain’s armband at Leeds-based Yorkshire Amateur.
Centre-back Swales replaces loyal Daniel Freeman, who is now combining playing duties with a coaching position on the Ammers management team.
Swales came through the juniors at the Ammers and represented the West Riding County FA before moving to Newcastle to study over three years ago. Swales also played for Glasshoughton during the 2012/13 season.
He returned to the Ammers last summer and has been a consistent presence in their side.
