Name: Joshua Dacre

Age: 20

Current Club: Parkgate

Previous clubs: Handsworth Parramore, Sheffield FC, Maltby Main, Clipstone FC, Worksop Town.

Day Job: Quantity Surveyor

Based: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Favourite team: Liverpool

All-time Favourite Player: Steven Gerrard as he’s a Liverpool legend

Best mate in football: Aiden Spowage. We played together at Handsworth from u16 until last year and won u16s, u17, u18, u19 league and cups.

Career highlight: Winning u19s league and cup. It was 1-0 to Hallam in the League Cup final, but we won 2-1 thanks to a last minute goal.

Lowest moment: Breaking my ankle playing for Maltby Main at 17 against Athersley Rec.

Most Memorable Match: Several games playing for Handsworth Parramore and the League Cup finals which I played in and won in all of them.

First Semi-Professional manage: Russ Eagle at Handsworth Parramore

First Red Card: Never had one.

First goal at semi-professional level: Scoring a header against Hemsworth to draw us level 1-1, nearly two weeks ago. It was a bit of a surprise to score to be honest, but I was unmarked at back post so had to score. Why I haven’t I scored before? I don’t know to be honest, but I’m a defender so don’t go near opposition goal much.

Most Memorable Goal Scored: Same goal as above away at Hemsworth!

What do you want to achieve in football in future: Play at the highest level as I can.

Favourite Ground Played At: Probably Sandy Lane, Handsworth and Worksop’s home. It is a very good set up and a very good pitch.

How do you rate Parkgate’s chances of staying up?: I do think we will survive. We have got a very good team and we will pick points up. Our previous few performances have been very good.
