Former captain Joe Austin is one of two players who have returned to Maltby Main after leaving Clipstone.
Austin was the club’s skipper last term and the Supporters and Players’ Player of the Year winner, while Sam Forster was an instrumental figure in the side that finished in 7th position last season.
Manager Spencer Fearn said: “It is great that Joe and Sam are returning to us here at Muglet Lane, both players were excellent for us last season and it’s going be fantastic for our club to see them both back in a Maltby shirt.”
Austin and Forster follow on from the recent signings of Cam Rigby (Frickley – dual contract), Richard Adams (Worksop) and Lewis Bemrose (Gainsborough Trinity) as Maltby look to finish this season positively and build for next season.
Austin will be in the squad for tomorrow’s visit of Hemsworth Miners Welfare to Muglet Lane, but Forster is a couple of weeks away from match action due to recovering from an ankle ligament injury.
