AFC Emley held onto a 2-1 lead against promotion rivals Grimsby Borough, despite striker Craig Billington having to go in goal for the final stages of the crunch clash.

Goalkeeper Graham McLachan was sent off at a point when Grimsby had reduced the deficit created by Jordan Coduri and Sam Jerome’s first half goals.

Pontefract Collieries won 3-2 at Eccleshill United – Spencer Clarke, Kane Reece and Chris Jackson scored.

It is definitely the end of the road for Selby Town’s play-offs hopes as they lost 3-1 at home to Yorkshire Amateur. Calum Ward gave Selby the lead, but Joel Hughes, Adam Shaw and T’nique Fishley ensured the Ammers won.

Rossington Main lost 2-1 at Winterton Rangers, while Westella were beaten 3-2 by Dronfield Town.

Penistone Church thrashed Teversal 5-0 with Danny Joynes, Daniel Howes, James Stafford, Andy Ring and Brett Lovell scoring.

Knaresborough Town remain in the race for the play-offs after Fraser Lancaster’s last minute goal earned them a 2-1 at Shirebrook Town.
