Connor Chapell scored against his old club Handsworth to send Hallam though in the League Cup
Connor Chapell’s brilliant free kick in extra-time dramatically put Hallam in the hat for the next round at the expense of local rivals Handsworth Parramore.
It completed a turnaround at Sandy Lane which had seen Hallam equalise in the last minute through Matty Ord to force extra-time.
Jon Froggatt had appeared to have put Handsworth through with a late goal.
Two late Jake Day strikes secured Bridlington Town a 3-1 home win over Pickering Town.
Nick Thompson gave Pickering the lead – a goal which was cancelled out by Chris Jenkinson.
Hemsworth Miners Welfare were beaten 2-0 by Rainworth in Fitzwilliam.
