Toolstation NCEL League Cup 4th Round
Harrogate Railway celebrated their fourth win in five games with the 3-1 defeat of Glasshoughton Welfare at Station View.
Railway more than deserved their victory. A tap-in for the predatory David Brown set Railway’s stall out before a well-worked move involving Nathan Keightley saw Andy Horbury break clear and equalise for Welfare.
Gregg Kidd was gifted a goal as half-time approached and Railway were able to effectively seal their victory seven minutes into the second half with a Steve Bromley strike.
Nigel Emery was unable to start his reign back in sole command of Selby Town on a high note because of Ash Flynn’s hat-trick in the 4-2 defeat to AFC Emley.
