The Ducks had the game sown up by half-time. The first goal was scored after just five minutes when Kieran Lugsden netted from close range.
Highly-rated Alex Byrne steered the ball past Jack Steggles for the second goal before Spencer Harris scored from the edge of the penalty area.
If there was any doubt about a Shaw Lane victory, Gav Allott ensured there wasn’t when he beat the offside trap on the hour mark.
Kieran Walker pulled a goal back for Carlton late-on. The fifth goal came from Gary Burnett, who scored with the last kick of the game.
