Pickering Town took full advantage of leaders Cleethorpes Town’s FA Vase commitments by putting five past struggling Parkgate without reply.
The heavy victory cuts the deficit between Cleethorpes and Pickering to eight points.
Paul Marshall’s men had their latest three points wrapped up by half-time. In a destructive first half display, Ryan Cooper, Joe Danby and Ryan Blott scored for the Pikes.
Cooper added the fourth after the break and Joe Dale hit the fifth with 20 minutes to go.
Fourth-placed Thackley were beaten 2-1 at home by Bottesford Town. Lamin Janneh got Thackley’s goal.
Albion Sports surrendered a 3-1 lead at Worksop Town and were beaten 4-3.
Albion trailed early, but goals from Omar Habeeb and Danny Facey (2) placed them in front.
However, a collapse in the final 15 minutes saw Worksop win it.
