Brighouse Town 2-1 Prescot Cables
Recent star signing Mike Fish scored twice on his Brighouse Town debut to fire his new side back into the play-offs reckoning.
Paul Quinn’s men are now three points behind fifth-place Scarborough Athletic after the deserved victory.
The home side had to patient though. The scores with goal-less for over 70 minutes until the opener from Fish – which came shortly after Prescot’s Valter Fernandez was sent off.
Fish, recently signed from Mossley, headed home from a corner for the deadlock breaker before curling a great strike into the net for his second goal.
Prescot did gain late hope from Dominic Reid’s goal, but Brighouse held on.
