Promotion-chasing Pontefract Collieries propelled themselves into a great position after winning 2-0 at rivals Penistone Church.

With AFC Emley surprisingly losing 1-0 to Brigg Town at home, the in-form Colls are now in the driving seat for top spot as they have two games-in-hand on Emley.

Second half goals from Jordan Turner and Kane Reece gave Pontefract their priceless victory.

Hall Road Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw at a competitive Ollerton Town.

Rangers had led for most of the afternoon through Joe Cooper’s eighth minute header from Chris Spinks corner but found home goalkeeper Scott Gretton in inspired form, and later paid the price as Mark Carter restored parity on 66 minutes to share the spoils.

Eccleshill United stormed to a 5-1 victory at Dronfield Town – Matty Storr, Sam Bradley, Luke Harrop, Alex Cusack and Matty Mathers scored.

Yorkshire Amateur overturned a half-time deficit to win 2-1 at Winterton Rangers. Joel Hughes equalised before Carl Heard won it for the Ammers.

Nostell Miners Welfare unfortunately lost 2-1 at Shirebrook Town. Aaron Fell got Nostell’s goal.
