Bottesford’s hero Paul Grimes
Struggling Parkgate scored three times inside the opening ten minutes at Bottesford Town, but lost 4-3 after being reduced to ten men.
There must have been some wild celebrations after Sam Thornton (2) and Alex Lill put Parkgate in a sensational position.
However, things quickly unraveled as Oliver Donald (2) and Danny Boulton led the fight-back for Bottesford. To cap it all off, Parkgate’s Ashley Emmett was shown a second yellow card.
To their credit, Parkgate kept Bottesford at bay until the final few minutes when veteran Paul Grimes scored the winner.
Parkgate have not won since winning at Garforth Town on Boxing Day.
Hemsworth Miners Welfare lost 3-0 at leaders Cleethorpes Town.
Harrogate Railway were surprisingly beaten 4-0 at Station View by Rainworth Miners Welfare, who had not won in the league since October.
